MakerBot has closed off the long-running MakerBot Operators Google Group, ostensibly to focus resources toward a more direct engagement of technical support staff to customers. As of about 5 PM ET, they have announced that the group is being turned into an archive.
Many of the old-timer regulars on that group have been on a few other Google Groups -- my suggestion is to migrate to the MakerBot Users Google Group for MakerBot (and clone) related discussions; or to the 3D Printer Tips, Tricks and Reviews group for more general discussions on 3D printing.
There are many other forums as well. I'm partial to Reddit's /r/3dprinting subreddit and the Google Plus 3D Printing community.
