Proto-pasta, the Exotic Filament specialists, made waves in the 3D printing world when they brought out their polycarbonate-enhanced ABS. This special blend of polycarbonate (PC) and ABS provides increased strength and heat resistance for strong, resilient parts.
This is a filament for experienced 3D printer users, as the polycarbonate has an even higher degree of shrink (and thus warp) than regular ABS. For the best results, ensure a stable and elevated temperature printing environment - when possible, use an enclosed printing chamber which has been preheated for a few minutes for the start of printing.
Because this filament is hygroscopic, pre-drying the filament at 90°C for an hour may be needed.
