The LightUp electronics learning kit just launched on KickStarter In a nutshell, it's like the marriage of snap-together electronics (like SnapCircuits) and smartphone/tablet-based augmented reality.

It tells you if you wired a LED backwards!
If it was just the "snapcircuit" part, this wouldn't be so interesting. But being able to build a circuit by hand, and then having an AR view of your circuit working is a pretty nifty feature. I backed it so that I can share it with the boys (the older one is particularly interested in electronics).
